p1120737.jpgI grew up in rural upstate New York and I didn’t realize how beautiful a part of the country I lived in until I moved away.  I attended college in northeast Georgia (another beautiful part of the country) and received a Bachelor’s of Arts in English from Toccoa Falls College.  During my time at Toccoa, besides meeting some great friends and reading some great literature, I crossed paths with Joel Repic, the executive director of Aliquippa Impact, Inc.  From my connection (and eventual friendship) with Joel I ended up working in Western, PA for a couple summers with AI.

I’m opinionated to a fault.  I’m excessively analytical.  I love art and talking about art.  I feel things strongly.  I’m prone to cynicism.  I’m prone to political rants and raves.  I am a ‘phase’ person.  I’m young.  I’ve much to learn.  I pray I’ll mellow out.  I like being alone.  I like watching.  I’m learning to see.

I miss that figure walking in and out of my room and declining any and all invitations to do things with me.

Leaving Babylon

Something is wrong here.
Something is wrong with the way we do life.

Humans have grown accustomed to living in Babylon instead of in the Paradise we were meant to. This blog is an invitation to a different way of thinking. In order to change the way we live, we've got to think about and critique the way our society has taught us to function.

I believe another way is possible. This blog is an invitation to leave behind the thinking of Babylon. Come join me on this journey.
